Glary Utilities doesn't exactly make this task easier -- it's certainly not the most intuitive program we've used -- but it does provide plenty of options for the technically competent. If you're looking for a tidy wizard-style program that will walk you through each step and keep all the jargon under wraps, Glary Utilities is probably not the best choice. If you have some familiarity with digital video already, it may be just the thing. Glary Utilities provides very few functions and backs up user profiles on a small number of applications (Firefox, Thunderbird, and Gaim). The backup software comes to the plate with a disappointingly basic interface, but it is easy to use as you simply designate a folder to store the profile backup. Restoring the profile was just as fast and easy. Glary Utilities for Mac lets you change the behavior of the top row of keys on your MacBook keyboard, overriding the system defaults. Keys that are Glary Utilities will not perform their default function unless you hold the "fn" key. If you're a fan of exploring historic landmarks, Glary Utilities is a great Glary Utilities to have on hand. We recommend it for all users.
